Founders' Story
FIRAWN was born from a quiet rebellion.
As I entered a new chapter in life, the boldness of my youth still lived in me, but the clothes no longer fit, in every sense.
So, with my mother, a master of fabrics and tailoring with over 40 years of garment-making experience, I began creating what I couldn’t find. Together, we started crafting pieces that felt both timeless and personal, grounded in quality and meaning. She taught me the language of fabric; I brought the vision of a modern silhouette rooted in something deeper.
The name FIRAWN was chosen with intention. It is the direct translation of Pharaoh in Arabic and Urdu. To me, the word carries a sense of power, presence and legacy. Not the legacy of one man, but of an era, a time when garments were gifts and style carried meaning. FIRAWN is a reminder that greatness is not always recognised in its time. Sometimes, it has to be reimagined.
I have always been drawn to the grandeur of Ancient Egypt: its deserts, rituals and opulence. I wanted to reclaim that energy, not the tyranny but the timelessness. To take the feeling of royalty and mysticism, and make it wearable.
This is clothing for the protagonist, even if the timeline feels off.
